Incoming Kindergarten

Kindergarten Enrollment, 2024-2025

A big welcome to our incoming Kindergarten students and families!

 

Each January, Edison School, along with other elementary schools in Alameda Unified School District, hold a series of events to inform families about the enrollment process, and to get to know each school.  Below are some important dates and information for each of these events at Edison:


Kindergarten Information Night - Thursday, January 18th, 2024:
Edison School will hold Kindergarten Information Night on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. This will be an evening for parents to hear about the Kindergarten program at Edison, receive information about the enrollment process for AUSD, and meet Kindergarten teachers and other staff. We encourage new families to Edison to attend this important first event in getting to know our school.  We also request families to please complete the
Kindergarten Information Night Google Form prior to or during this event, so we can gather contact and other pertinent information for you and your child.

Here are a couple of important items relating to the information night on the 18th:

  • If you were unable to attend on the 18th, the presentation for the evening will be linked HERE.
  • Student Services has created an Enrollment Video to support you in the enrollment process, which is also included in the presentation linked above.

 

School Tours - January 25th and 26th:
Please join us for a tour of Edison School for incoming kindergarten families.  Tours dates are Wednesday, January 25th, and Thursday, January 26th, at 9:00 am on both dates, and will be in-person this year!  The sessions will include a welcome and introductions by the principal, campus tour presentations by some of our 5th grade students, and a Q&A session after the tours.  Please complete the Kindergarten Information Night Google Form to sign up for a date. The first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year is Thursday, August 15, 2024...we look forward to meeting you and your child!
